As I first reported last month, World of Beer plans to open the doors of its Bradenton tavern for the first time Monday.
The pub at 497 Cortez Road W., which will open at 11 a.m. seven days a week, will have about 50 beers on tap, along with more than 500 bottled brews, craft spirits and food, according to Dean Lambert, managing partner. Tampa-based World of Beer, founded in 2007, has opened taverns in 20 states. This will be the second WOB in Manatee County but more similar to the one on Main Street in Sarasota.
On July 22 the Bradenton WOB will tap a cask of Darwin Brewing Co. San Patricio Caliente Irish Red, brewed exclusively for the tavern by the Bradenton brewery, according to a news release.
On Aug. 8 World of Beer will play host to the eighth Bradenton Beer Festival from 4 to 8 p.m. as part of a two-day grand opening celebration.
